Monday to Friday for many people represents the period that you sell your time for financial gain, and the weekend, the time where you get to be YOU. Unfortunately, you’re fighting a losing battle, you spend 5 days a week making a living, but only 2 days making a LIFE. That’s why it’s important that we make those 2 days count!

Fighting to break free from the weekly grind of city life, once a month the Weekend Warrior team forms battle plans of creative weekend adventures to get you out exploring! We continue to fight, to inspire the masses and to get out and experience the wilderness and environment as much as possible no matter how little time we have.

Our aim to not only prove to you that everyone has time for adventure, but to inspire you to take that time, and spend it in a way that engages you with the people you spend time with and the places you spend that time in! The world is wonderful, and must be experienced!

Each of our Weekend Warrior adventures follows the same format. We meet at our accommodation on a Friday night, maximising our time for adventure over the weekend. We provide all accommodation, group camp and cooking gear as well as any special safety equipment. Our meals are always fresh, wholesome and plentiful, with a focus on local produce. Our fantastic, knowledgeable guides take great pride in their care and attention to detail, offering massive amounts of support to ensure your safety, comfort and maximum chances of completing your objectives.

We are not a cookie cutter operator repeating the same itineraries week in and out, each month we will explore a new destination, or visit an old friend in a new light, keeping things exciting and new. Click each of the headings below for more specific details about that destination.

September 28-30 - Northern Grampians Explorer

This weekend is a great multi-activity weekend in the little-travelled northern end of the Grampians! We will stay in comfort at the same site Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy a sunrise from Mount Staypleton, pass through the cave of Hollow Mountain abseil down the 'Wall of Fools' and rock climb in 'Summer Day Valley'.

October 19-21 - Rock climbing Adventure - Mount Arapiles

Venture into the vertical world where we hike to the top of Mount Arapiles, then teach you to abseil to make for a more dramatic journey back down. We'll then spend the rest of the weekend learning how to climb and gain more rope skills on the best quality rock in Australia! As always, a very comfortable camp and great fresh food.

November 9-11 - Grampians Peaks Trail

The first stage of the Grampians Peaks trail takes us on a spectacular walk in the central Grampians through the famous 'silent street', on top of the Pinnacle, and over Mount Rosa. We'll spend our Saturday night out camping in the purpose-built GPT hikers camp, and enjoy the walk with relatively light packs. This walk is the first section to open of the Grampians Peaks Trail that will eventually become a 160km iconic walk the covers the entire length of the Grampians Range.

December 21-23 - High Plains Explorer

Summertime gets hot, so let's go high were the temperatures remain cool and the days are long! Our first summer alpine hike will have us staying in Falls Creek, and heading out to explore the Bogong High Plains. We'll visit a number of iconic cattleman huts and hopefully see the Brumbies running wild while they're still there. The is a fantastic beginner walk to experience the alpine environment without having to gain all the elevation on foot! We'll enjoy views of Mount Mackay, Feathertop and the Razorback as well as Mount Bogong and Mount Hotham in the distance.

January 11-13 - Mount Bogong Summit

The Classic Mount Bogong ascent, but with a little Impulse Adventures flair! We'll spend the night at a luxury farm stay before getting transferred to the base of Eskdale Spur. We'll ascend most of the elevation required in the first 3 hours, then continue up and over the side of Bogong to Cleave Col to spend the night at the most beautiful hut in the high country. Sunday we head back over and traverse to the summit of Bogong itself with unhindered 360-degree views.

February 8-10 - Mount Feathertop and the Razorback

Easily Victoria's most picturesque mountain! Taking off from the iconic Snowline Hotel, we'll be transferred to the start of the Razorback trail and spend the day undulating across the ridge to the base of the summit. Sunset on little feathertop before dinner, then before breakfast we'll take off in the dark to watch the sunrise from the Feathertop propper summit. Back down to the Snowline for a celebratory late lunch.

Weekend Warrior Program Format

The following itinerary is a broad format that our weekend adventures follow, as each weekend is individually planned, some details may differ.

Friday: We'll meet at our selected accommodation, arriving at your leisure. If you make it by around 7 pm, you will have the option of joining us for a team dinner. Once the whole team is assembled we will conduct a briefing for the following morning and check any equipment concerns you may have.

Saturday: The adventure starts today! We'll have breakfast at our accommodation before being transferred to the start of our adventure. A big day full of adventure, you'll be guided up a mountain, down a cliff, or up a rock face! We'll stop for a fresh healthy lunch prepared by our trip chef, most likely with a stunning view. You will only be carrying your own personal equipment, as our team will take care of all the group gear and food, keeping your packs light making your time more enjoyable. Mid-afternoon you'll arrive at camp already set up, the kettle boiling and snacks on the table. Enjoy a well-earned rest, and decide the best place to view the sunset! A fresh, healthy and wholesome dinner leads into a nice treat to finish the bay before retiring to bed.

Sunday: Fueled by snacks, we may be rising early to achieve a summit to watch the sunrise, returning to camp for a hearty breakfast. before packing up and descending the mountain or continue our activity before wrapping up for lunch and departing for home. We aim to leave after a team lunch, with plenty of time to get home at a reasonable hour, or even stop at a winery on the way!
